this past week our little family spent three nights camping in the woods. it was wonderful. so great to get outside and into nature with our whole family. i have to admit that i had reservations as to how well a trip with an almost three year old, a four month old, two jack russell terriers and two sleep deprived adults might go. i feel a little foolish now about all of that worrying that i did. we all do well in nature. it is where we are free to be. to enjoy our surroundings, crawl on logs, jump off of rocks and dig into the dirt. if you haven't camped with your family, i highly recommend it. even the no showering for four days part wasn't so bad.
