daydreaming

playing "happy" with papa during their visit a few weeks ago.

one of the most discussed topics at our house is where we will end up. where are we going to settle in and plant our roots? all of our moves have been based on school - where we were attending or where we got accepted. so, it is fun to dream about really choosing a place to settle down. a place in which harper and her future siblings will grow up and go to school and make friends. how close will we be to our families, our friends, to the beautiful mountains that we love so much? how do you make that decision? just a little daydreaming this monday morning.

  1. Harper is so cute! My dad is a pastor, so we've moved around my entire life. The longest we've ever lived anywhere is 5 years, and I can't fathom NOT moving so often. It's taught my sisters and I so many valuable life lessons, and allowed us to see so many beautiful places, and meet so many amazing people. Roots are good, but so are nomads! :)

  2. My boy and I had a very similar conversation the other day - he is soon applying for the next stage of his training and we won't know where that will take us until it happens. It's so exciting to think about where we might be next year, in three years time or by the time we're starting a family. All I know is that it has to be somewhere near beautiful hills or mountains, else I'd go mad! Xxx

    1. it is exciting, for sure, to be in that situation. not knowing where you will be and not really having a choice in the matter. but at the same time, it makes me a little crazy! i too, would love to stay near the mountains. they are just so magical. x

    2. Yeah, I forgot the crazy part. I guess the UK is pretty small in comparison to the states, which makes things slightly easier. Thank you so much for the tag - I finally got round to posting my response. Xx
