"a portrait of my children, once a week, every week in 2013."

harper: this little gal is always up for some dress up. cowboys, princesses (cringe) she is not too picky.

i'm feeling like baby boy will join us any day now. my body is moving more slowly every day and i am really trying to enjoying these last days (weeks?) of pregnancy.

linking up with che and fidel.

"a portrait of my children, once a week, every week, in 2013."

an afternoon of tea parties complete with real sugar cubes and fancy napkins sent from her great grandmother. i was told this week that baby boy could be joining us any day now. we all await his arrival with great anticipation and excitement.

lessons

last week i headed to the salon to get a hair cut and left these two alone for a few hours. when i came back, i asked what they did. not much they said. then i saw these little gems when downloading photos.

photo lessons with dad and her first two pictures. sigh. i love them.

our days continue to be slow around here as the weather has been cold and i am moving at a snails pace. harper seems to understand that i am not able to do as much right now. she keeps telling me, "daddy is big and strong and you have a baby in your tummy, so you can't carry me." yes.

harper: wakes with the sweetest rosy cheeks.

it has been ever so cold here this week, so we have been staying warm inside under piles of blankets taking our days slowly. we have had another round of sniffles and coughs, making my desire to nest even greater. i am soaking up every moment that i have with just harper as i know our days with just the three of us are limited. it is a bittersweet time.

growing a bump

hello there! i have had the greatest intentions of taking regular bump shots this pregnancy, but alas, life happens and as it turns out, two year olds don't much like having photo sessions and my husband works a lot. BUT, today was a different day and we snapped a few photos of my big 35 week belly.

i'm feeling really great for the most part, and can't complain too much about those pesky sciatic twinges or the sleep that i am no longer getting. my body is warming me up for the day that we get to meet our sweet winter babe. and are we ever excited for that day.

i have been washing and folding tiny little white shirts and swaddling blankets. we are painting and assembling the crib soon. nesting has set in.

Harper: "Freeze!" afternoon park play on a very chilly day.

I am joining in with lovely Jodi and loads of others for the weekly portraits. I've admired her collection this past year and wanted to do my own yearly or weekly type of challenge. I am looking forward to adding our little guy next month as soon as he arrives. (NEXT MONTH!!) It is hard to believe how quickly this pregnancy has gone!

a farewell to 2012

happy new year! welcome, 2013, i have great hopes for you!

it's been ages since i've had a post and i thought it might be nice to do a quick recap before heading into the new year. 2012 brought us many blessings and adventures. here are just a few of my favorite snaps from the year. i'm looking forward to this year. to welcoming our son into our home very soon. to growing our family and having more fun than we could possibly imagine. (and maybe, just maybe get back into blogging!)
